Well & Pump
Services

Since 1986, Capital Well Clean Water Center has handled every stage of a private water supply system — from siting and drilling the well itself, to sizing and installing the right pump, to treating the water once it reaches your home. Our crews operate out of Dunbarton, Meredith and Lancaster, which means a licensed well and pump technician is within reach of most of New Hampshire, seven days a week.

Well Pump Installation and Replacement
Most submersible well pumps last 10 to 15 years. When yours reaches the end of its life, the right replacement depends on well depth, static water level, household demand and existing wiring. We size every pump to the well rather than to a catalog default, so you get consistent pressure without overworking the equipment. Constant pressure systems are available for homes that experience pressure drops when multiple fixtures run at once.

Well Drilling and Artesian Wells
We drill six-inch artesian wells for new residential construction, replacement of failing dug wells, and commercial and community water systems. Every well we complete is grouted and cased to protect the aquifer from surface contamination, and we handle the state permitting and well completion reporting on your behalf.

Hydrofracking for Low-Yield Wells
If your well produces less water than your household needs, hydrofracturing can open existing bedrock fractures and significantly increase yield — often at a fraction of the cost of drilling a replacement well. It is the first option worth evaluating before you commit to a new well.

Geothermal Heating and Cooling
Closed and open-loop geothermal wells use New Hampshire’s stable ground temperature to heat and cool your home at a fraction of conventional operating cost. We handle the drilling, loop installation and coordination with your HVAC contractor.

Maintenance, Repairs and Freeze Protection
Annual inspection of your pressure tank, pump controls, wiring and pitless adapter catches small problems before they become no-water emergencies. We also install and service heat tape and freeze protection for exposed lines and pump houses — a routine need in northern New Hampshire winters.
